ASRT Foundation Scholarships
The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) Foundation awards scholarships to imaging students through their annual scholarship program. ARRT Foundation Scholarships
The ARRT Foundation awards scholarships to students pursuing radiologic technology education, which may include MRI-focused programs. Check eligibility requirements - some awards are specific to ARRT-pathway students.
ISMRM Educational Scholarships

Institutional Scholarships (School-Specific)
Many MRI training programs offer their own institutional scholarships or discounts. These are often not widely advertised - you have to ask. When meeting with a school's financial aid office, specifically ask:

Tips for Scholarship Applications
Most scholarships have annual deadlines. Set calendar reminders and apply to every scholarship you're eligible for - the time investment per application is usually small relative to the potential award.
Scholarship committees read hundreds of applications. A specific, honest narrative about why you chose MRI and what you'll contribute to the field stands out far more than generic statements.
Ask healthcare professionals, educators, or supervisors who can speak to your aptitude for patient care and technical work - not just generic character references.
Scholarships can typically be combined with grants, work-study, and institutional payment plans. Each award reduces what you need to borrow or pay out of pocket.
